“Face Mask” – Free Halloween Photoshop Tutorial

Halloween 2014

Words and pixels by Brian Maffitt

Social-media followers know that every year I create a creepy Halloween self-portrait, combining original photography and heavy Photoshop work. Last year’s example was so popular worldwide that when I was planning this year’s efforts, I decided to make a demo to accompany the image. I didn’t even try to provide a typical Total Training follow-along course, since that probably would have been two hours long–the results are more like a trade-show project walkthrough–but there’s a wealth of high-level Photoshop techniques packed into these 13 minutes, and I hope you enjoy this peek at the process.

And, it’s totally free!

Happy Halloween!
